Love Me Brutal

•March 25, 2011 • Leave a Comment

So a while ago I got these pose fair reviews but I’ve been suuuuper busy and haven’t had a chance to blog em. But today I said that’s it, grabbed Spudgy by the hair, and got this done. So here’s a sneak peak of what you can expect to see at the Pose Fair (opens April 1st) by Love me Brutal.

Not all of the poses were to my personal taste, and some just weren’t for our dynamic, but here’s what I used and I hope you like them as much as I did.

This is the Rock of Love couplese pose, ain’t it cute? So sweet… though I more imagine myself not turning my head up to give Spudgy a kiss, but rather pulling back and smiling coyly. Cause that’s how I roll. :) (Kinda not really.)

Next up is this really neat prop called ‘Girl Behind The Glass’. It comes complete with 4 poses and a booth with a window. Instead of using the booth though, Spudgy and I decided we’d be mannequins at Number 7 where we took all of our pictures today, and Spudgy decided to flash mob the place because he saw a male freebie. Good times. :)

LOTD2-2

The other day I visited Fashion For Life, and while I did buy a few things, that’s not really why I went. I love going to these fairs because there are so many designers together, and I can find some new stores to check out. One of the stores I happened upon was Salt. So while I was thinking about what to blog, I stopped by her mainstore and picked up this gorgeous dress. Everything else just kinda came together. Enjoy. :)

LOTD2-1

From top to bottom:

Hair Base: DeeTalez – Shaved Head in Flowery.

Hair: Lamb – Glass Candy in Kit Kat.

Dress: Salt – Summer Romance Vintage Dress.

Bracelet: Rawdolls – Nuthin’ but Trinkets. (Worn in the second picture and not the first because I had to reset my avatar when SL was being it’s usual pain, and I forgot to put it back on… cause I’m a ditz.)

Shoes: Hoorenbeek – Siren Boots in Black.

The balance pose was found on The Marketplace HERE and the Long Hair pose was of course from Glitterati. Who is having a great big sale right now so you better get over there and check it out!

Oh, oh! And the pictures were taken at Surface by AM Radio.

Men's Fashion Week by Eff This Blog
Men’s Fashion Week a photo by Eff This Blog on Flickr.

It’s time for Menswear Fashion Week! Usually most fashion expos really do have limits for guys so I find them a little ho-hum, but this one is only for guys. The selection of stores could have not been better. From nobodies to the big hitters, the stores have earned their place here. So go check it out, find some new duds, and be sure to hit the PCF tip jars spread out too.

This style is based on some of what’s available. If it’s not bold it’s not there, so you’ll have to go to the store.  Sorry.

Pacific Crisis Fundraiser

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve heard about the tragedies that have taken place and that continue to take place in Japan this past week. Well as usual the SL community has rose up united to help people out who need us. A few of those people decided to organize this fundraiser where designers donate their items to sell, and all of the proceeds go to the Relief. I really wanted to be able to contribute something but as a new designer I’m kind of overwhelmed at the moment with trying to get thing out, and knowing what to make. So I wasn’t able to make something in time for the fundraiser. So instead I decided to blog the event!

So here’s my contribution, I went to the event this morning and bought a few things and now I’m gonna show you! So I hope what you see and you get a chance to check these and other things out at the fundraiser, remember it all goes to help Japan. So it’s guilt free shopping guys!

Everything from the event will be in bold.

I have to say that out of all of the purchases I made today this dress was my absolute favorite. The details on the lace, and just everything about it makes me happy.

PCF2

Hair: Magika – Dara in Dark Brown.

Dress: Elate – Mei in Onyx.

Shoes: Maitreya Gold – Shanti in Black.

I love this next outfit, it’s something I’m sure I’ll be wearing over and over. It’s just so cute, and everything is included.

PCF3

Hair: Truth – Allegra in Chocolate.

Outfit: DCNY – Lacey Shorts and Vest in Crimson and Dark Wash.

Shoes – Shiny Things – Zimmy Flats in Red.

For more of a business look (and if I’m anything in SL it’s a business woman) these pants are the best. The belt even fit my chubby little shape with just a little tinkering! Which makes me happy, cause it’s so hard to find belts to fit. And they go perfectly with this top.

PCF

Hair: Truth – Grace in Chocolate.

Top: Berries Inc. – Matilda Top in Choco.

Pants and Belt: Izzie – Business Pants in Taupe.

Shoes: Maitreya Gold – Shanti in Black.

And last, but certainly not least. Since we’re talking about Japan, I had to get this little Kimono dress. It was just a little immodest for me, but pair it with a cute set of leggings and I was good to go!

PCF4

Hair: Magika – Paisley in Dark Brown.

Kimono and Chopsticks: Sassy Kitty Designs – Sassy Kimono in Black and Silver. (Black and Red also comes with it!)

Leggings: Atomic – Ribbon Leggings in Silver.

Shoes: Ingenue – Audrei in Ghost.

All of the poses I used were from the Posers Unite Pack also sold at the Fundraiser!

New! Posers Unite for PCF 100% proceeds goes to Americares

And HERE is the link to the fundraiser. It officially opens to the public tomorrow (3/16/11).

Also, all of these pictures were taken at Japan Tempura Island.

Knitting Circle St. Paddy’s Day Sale!!

•March 13, 2011 • Leave a Comment

A few stores at the Knitting Circle are having a Saint Patrick’s Day sale, and I’m so excited because everything green is on sale. And of course green is my absolute favorite color. Always has been, when I was little my older cousins always teased me by asking me what my fave color was because I’d always respond with “Grooooosss Green!” and they’d have a good giggle at my expense.

Anyways, the stores in the sale are Grixdale, Atomic, and Ploom! I just have to mention that everything in the sale is green, and since i don’t have any use for green hair I just bought my own tone in the hair that is for sale. The Ploom packs with green in them also have blue and stuff in them, so if you’re into colored hair check out these hairs at Ploom!

Saint Paddy's Day

New at Reasonable Desires!

•March 11, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Now I’m not much for lingerie in SL, or in RL for that matter… but I don’t think there are many girls in SL who haven’t heard of Reasonable Desires. All of us have one or two things in our inventory from their very wide array of undies, sexy costumes, and lingerie; even if it’s just from one of their many lucky chairs.

What I’m about share with you is from Reasonable Desires recent releases, just came out this week. Austie was kind enough to share with me, so I could show you!

Here’s a nifty example of their sexy costumes.

Reasonable Desires1

Hair: Posh – Morning After in Chocolate.

Shoes: Maitreya – Group Gift pumps in Black.

Outfit: Reasonable Desires – Convict Cutie.

I love these cute little panties.

Resonable Desires2

Hair: Tiny Bird – Girl Anachromism in Chocolate.

Slippers: BellBalls – My Bedtime Slippers in Strawberry. (Gatcha machine goodie!)

Undies: Reasonable Desires – Dotty in pink.

I’ve always been a huge fan of anyone doing anything retro or vintage in SL. So I of course, love this lingerie set.

Reasonable Desires3

Hair: Lamb – Mon Cheri in Butterfinger. (Tinted myself cause I’m cheap.)

Outfit: Reasonable Desires – Retro Rita.

All poses, including the pearls and the bed came from Glitterati. My favorite place to shop for poses and props. :)
